What is Bleed ???????????.....................
If an A4 leaflet has ink right up to the edge of the finished page size, it is printed on a larger sheet (SRA4). The artwork is set so that the image area extends
beyond the edge of the A4 page (see Illustration). The page is then trimmed to
size with no white paper showing.
Information, Images,
background colours and fills which are intended to extend to the edge of the page should be extended
3mm beyond the page to give a bleed.
Text and other areas you need on your finished job
should ideally be 5mm in from the edges of the finished page size.
